– Sarah Dessen, The Truth About Forever
I’m a ridiculous fangirl when it comes to this book—and this is one of my favorite highlights, because it’s so very true, and I’m basically terrified of people who appear to be perfect. (I spent way too much time trying to be perfect...

Holy Hunger Games! I cannot believe that someone so involved in the children’s book industry actually said this. Obviously the bookseller who said this needs to refer to my YA-heavy list of book...

"Nutty American" Cocktail at Pinot
I had a fabulous cocktail at a friend’s going away party at Pinot in downtown last night. It contained:
Bulleit Bourbon
Walnut Liqueur
Orange Bitters
Red Vermouth
I plan on trying to replicate this awesomeness at home (the $8.75 price tag is not very friendly to the wallet). I will, however, rename my version since “Nutty American” is all kinds of dorky.
